How to Make Earwax Hash

Pandoras Box EarWax Hash

Pandoras Box Wax

First I have to say this is a very dangerous way to make your home-made hash.

So to start you’re going to need a well ventilated area that has no flame remember this is butane. I use the barn and don’t forget to turn on fans for ventilation. Selecting the type of butane is a personal preference, the lower grade the butane the lower grade the product.

I have found out using cheap butane to save a few bucks is something I don’t suggest. The last taste of the product is distorted because of it.

Then you add some trimmings or flowers, about an ounce of flowers makes any where from 1 to 3 grams of finished product. The flavor and look of the finished product is contingent on what you use.

I would suggest using flowers for smaller personal batches. Next you will need a tube to place your ground up cannabis, I have used PVC tubes they are usable and inexpensive however the ear wax may get a plastic aftertaste.

Stainless steal or Pyrex glass tubes are very effective. With the glass make sure it can handle the extreme cold temperature of the butane. You can find a number of web sites that offer BHO tubes. Also you are going to need a glass Pyrex bowl or baking dish to let the butane and oil separate. Let’s get started.

Tools:
• 1 Well ventilated area
• 1 fire extinguisher and thick blanket
• Leather gloves
• 1 BHO extraction tube
• 1 ounce of grade A marijuana
• Two 12 oz canisters of 5x filtered butane
• 1 Pyrex dish
• 1 stainless steel fork

Step 1: Get together your fire extinguisher, blanket and gloves. In your well ventilated and flame free area.

Step 2: Grind up your marijuana with hand grinder or blender and place into the extraction tube.

Step 3: Use the adapters on the cap of butane container to fit the hole on the extraction tube.

Step 4: put on gloves and hold tube over the Pyrex dish.

Step 5: Flush the marijuana with the butane by inserting the adapter into the ready-made hole on the top of the tube. Use both cans replacing the first as quickly as possible.

Step 6: Let the butane liquid evaporate this takes a while (patience it’s worth it)

Step 7: After all the butane has evaporated off and the honey oil is covering the dish heat up a pot of water to a boil and place the bottom of the dish into the water just until the oil is movable with the fork. Remove from water and mix with fork until it becomes chunky.

Now you have made earwax hash congratulations if you did it without hurting yourself. As I said this is a very dangerous way to make hash at home and we should just leave it up to the professionals that do this every day in a safe and controlled environment with top of the line equipment.

Making medicated cannabis butter

21 10 2012

Making a good medicated cannabis butter starts with your marijuana. The strength and taste of your butter will depend on the type of marijuana you choose.

For example you can use trimmings, stocks, branches, and of course the flower. Which ever way you go, it will be effective butter in the end. So choose the portion of the plant you will be using and grind it up. I use an old blender for this normally it’s easier to do a larger amount.

How to make medicated butter

Medicated butter

Ingredients:

• 1 lbs of butter (not margarine)
• 1 cup of water
• 1 ounce of flowers ground up

Make sure you have time for the simmering. Wash your hand. Slowly melt butter in a large pot on low heat stirring constantly so not to burn the butter. Mix in the ground up plant matter into the warm butter, slowly add the water and bring to a simmer while still stirring.

Here is where it becomes a waiting game. You can let the mixture simmer of a minimum of 3 hours, however if your patent and wait the longer the better. But don’t go over the 24 hour mark remember to add water as needed for longer periods.

After waiting remove pot from heat and let cool for a moment. Use a cheese cloth or strainer to catch the plant matter as you pour the butter into a separate bowl. Place butter in refrigerator until hardened. When solid pour off any excess water and remove the butter from the dish. Scrape off any missed plant matter that has sunk to the bottom. (If any plant matter is still in the butter re-melt and strain until none remain). After all plant matter has been removed cover and store in you refrigerator.

Freezing the butter will help it keep longer if you don’t intend on using it all at once. This can be added to all sorts of dishes or even in your morning toast. As always remember this is a medicated product so use with care and keep out of reach of children.

Tools needed:

• Patience
• Large pot
• Wooden/ plastic spoon
• Cheese cloth or fine strainer
• Clean glass or metal bowl for warm mixture

Cannabis Valentines Day

Cactus Heart

Cactus Heart

Every year in February we gather flowers, candy and make dinner plans to show our gratitude for our significant others. Whether you choose to go out for a day on the town this year or just a romantic home made meal, keep in mind that cannabis is also edible. As medical marijuana patients my spouse and I will be indulging not only in our romantic escapade this year (mostly time alone), but we will also be enjoying a medicated desert. At most dispensaries you are able to find a wide selection of edible products anything from hard candies to lasagna. While not all of us are able to run to our local dispensary and pick up a few munchies so I have a couple quick recipes for a romantic medicated snack.

Peanut Butter Love Cookies:

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup of medicated butter.
• ½ cup peanut butter
• 1 egg
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ table spoon vanilla
• 1 ¼ cup flour
• 1 table spoon baking soda
• ½ table spoon salt
• ½ table spoon baking powder
• 15-20 chocolate pieces filled with caramel (heart shaped)

Wash your hands. Then preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix together the egg, butter, sugar, and vanilla. In separate bowl mix floor, salt, baking soda, and baking power. Slowly add flour to the egg mixture. Blend until well mixed.
Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 375 for 8 minuets, place baked cookies on a rack or flat surface and while still warm gently press the Carmel filled chocolates into the warm cookies. Let them cool and enjoy. Remember they are medicated so use with care and keep out of reach of children.

Medicated lemon bars

Ingredients:

• ½ Cup medicated butter, softened.
• 2 eggs
• 1 Cup sugar
• ¼ Cup powdered sugar
• 1 Cup flour
• ¼ teaspoon of salt
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Wash your hands then preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix the flour, medicated butter and powdered sugar. Press mixture into an ungreased baking pan (8×8). Bake for 18 to 20 minuets. While that bakes mix together the remaining ingredients and beat until fluffy about 3 minuets. Pour mixture over the warm crust and place back into oven for about 20 more minuets or until no impression remains in the center when touched lightly with a clean finger. Pull from over let cool for 10 to 15 minuets, cut (maybe use a cookie cutter to cut a heart shape) and enjoy. Remember this is a medicated treat use with caution and keep out of reach of children.

I hope you enjoy these fairly quick and easy medicated snacks while you and your significant other celebrate Valentines Day this year, don’t forget to share.

Good day all I have found this report from ABC news in Chicago today, http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/10/chicago-pot-farms-plants-as-big-as-trees/ so sad to see that this is what people have to do to get their medicine. Hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on destroying something they could be getting tax dollars from . Not to mention the poor plants.:)

Cannabis could help autisum disorder

26 09 2012

Hello everyone I found yet another article on marijuana research that has my head spinning. We are always told cannabis is bad for you and marijuana has long-term effects that are more harmful than good. However research done in America and Europe has found that marijuana can help repair the debilitating symptoms associated with fragile X syndrome. (Fox News.com) I would suggest you read the full article so you can wrap your brain around the positives of marijuana. We need to stand together and tell big pharmaceutical companies we want meds that are not going to destroy us from the inside out.

Thank You,

Chris
